Buyer grumbles around
Summary: jensholstein describes selling an item, originally purchased from a vendor on eBay, and now receiving complaints from the buyer about its condition. Despite sending extra pictures and offering a full refund including return shipping, the buyer left a very negative review. jensholstein expresses frustration and plans to report the situation to eBay. petersmodellbahnstuebchen advises against calling the buyer names and suggests working towards an amicable resolution, noting that such negative feedback might not be removed.
I sold an item that I bought on Ebay in April, it was described by the seller as good, I had nothing to complain about, I shipped the item in July with the rating as good condition, now the buyer is writing to me that the item does not meet his expectations and that it is not good, what are you supposed to do, I wasn’t exactly happy about it, especially since I had even sent him extra pictures, I told him he should send the item back, I’ll reimburse his expenses plus his return shipping, I can’t do more than that, in my frustration over such a cheeky thing I called him a nitpicker, he gave me a very bad rating, I will report him to Ebay, does that even make any sense?

Mentor2 weeks agoWhat are you trying to report there? You started with the "insults" yourself.
In my opinion, the rating does not violate any guidelines and will probably not be deleted.

Buyers don't moan around, they express justified or unjustified criticism.
As for the ratings, in my opinion his rating certainly won't be deleted, but yours probably will be (positive with negative content).
You don't accuse your buyers of being nitpickers; instead, you should try to calm the buyer down and find a mutually agreeable solution.
