since eBay unfortunately can't verify what's true and what's not, the buyer has buyer protection.
That's why you should accept the return; otherwise you'll also get a defect entry.
You can add the buyer to your block list.
You can block a buyer by selecting the following button.

A buyer can complain about any item, even with supposedly private sellers.

can you prove for sure that the customer is not telling the truth?
Here you have neither stated the reasons the customer gives, nor can you prove that the item arrived with the customer in the same condition as you sent it. Normally, a seller cannot even legally prove that the item was still as described at the time of shipping.
Of course, there is seller protection on eBay, but it does not apply if the delivered item does not match the description.
If you do not agree to the return, eBay will, with 99.9% certainty, refund the customer the item price incl. shipping costs and you will additionally receive a note on your eBay account.
