Can you have that many bid cancellations?
How can it be that a fellow bidder at an auction, who drives the price up (with seller Harzuhr), has 11 bid retractions in 12 months? Is eBay really that generous with bid retractions, and shouldn’t this bidder actually be banned?

Mentor3 weeks ago@professortarantoga no chance, bid retractors are all anonymized and, since recently, the bid retractions that used to be visible on profiles set to public are no longer viewable, everything nicely made opaque by ebay. It might still work in the bid lists, but that doesn't help.

OP3 weeks agoI took a look at the bids at Harzuhr. There are always serial bidders with lots of bid retractions and high bidding activity with only one bidder. In 20 years on eBay, I’ve probably had maybe 2 bid retractions in total.
As a bidder, you feel ripped off. Does eBay even encourage this system?
If you bid at all, with some sellers you can only place your bid 2 seconds before the end, otherwise these pseudo-bidders will drive the price up.
