Purchase canceled: never received the money, yet €15.38 was charged to my card – why?

Hello everyone,
I canceled a sale for €16.69. The buyer had transferred the amount, but the money was never paid out to my bank account and also was not available as credit in my eBay account.
When the cancellation was made, eBay refunded the buyer the money – however, €15.38 was charged to my card on file for this (the remaining €1.31 was apparently offset).
Since I never received the €16.69 from the buyer, this charge has now put me €15.38 in the red.
How can it be that eBay doesn’t use the buyer’s money directly for the cancellation, but instead charges it to my card? Is this a system error, and how do I get the €15.38 back?

Mentor3 weeks agoIt does happen that the money from eBay isn’t used for the refund, but rather money from the bank account. I don’t know the exact background, but it has happened before.
You should be able to track everything under the Payments tab.
