No payout of my money
Summary: 0352wertzu is having problems with withheld payouts from eBay, even though receipt of the items has been confirmed by positive feedback, and an automated assistant isn’t providing any helpful answers. petersmodellbahnstuebchen explains that new sellers have to wait up to 30 days because of buyer protection, and gives tips on how to get in touch with eBay employees. perfect-sally adds that feedback or buyer messages do not affect the payout time. 0352wertzu is frustrated by the changes to the payment system and would have liked to have been informed about them earlier. petersmodellstuebchen humorously points out that the essential information can be found in the help section.
Hello,
I sold an item, and receipt was confirmed by positive reviews, yet Ebay is still holding my money. Ebay: " Your payouts will be available as soon as we can confirm that the buyer has no issues with the item after delivery." That was already a week ago. Customer service is unreachable, only this artificial AI assistant, which only gives standard replies and doesn't address my problem at all. How long does Ebay wait for these "confirmations"? It's basically outrageous, I'm desperate...
Has anyone had similar experiences, or what else could the delay be due to? I've activated everything that ebay offers in the buttons.

Mentoryesterday at 4:06 PMHi @0352wertzu
First, regarding reaching eBay employees:
If you tell the chat bot in the help section "employee" or "callback" (if necessary, multiple times), it should work.
Alternatively, there is also a phone number in the legal notice.
Regarding your current issue:
After only 2 sales this year, you’re classified as a new seller on eBay. For buyer protection reasons, it can sometimes take 30 days until the amounts are released.
Best wishes from the Baltic Sea

Mentoryesterday at 4:19 PMSmall additional comment: a rating or confirmation from the buyer via message does not speed up payouts!
A buyer has 30 days of buyer protection from the day of delivery.

OPyesterday at 5:17 PMHello Peter, many thanks for the quick reply.
I sold something a few years ago already, but I never had this problem. Everything went through PayPal and the money was available right away.
Why doesn't eBay announce this business change right away as the very first thing in the selling tool? (purely rhetorical question).

Mentoryesterday at 5:30 PMHi @0352wertzu
if Ebay were to explain the entire system including all the terms and conditions in the selling tool, before listing your item you'd first have to scroll through what feels like 1000 pages of text. 😉
But all joking aside, you can read the essentials about payment holds here.
Best wishes from the Baltic Sea

Mentoryesterday at 5:31 PMThe payment processing has now been around for a few years, and on eBay nothing is like it used to be anymore.
