Completely cheated, lied to and screwed over (unfortunately, there's no other way to put it)
Summary: alphaente reports a disappointing experience with a seller on eBay from whom he ordered Bravo magazines but never received them. Despite initially friendly communication, the seller no longer responded to alphaente’s last emails. An eBay case could no longer be opened because the deadline had passed. Frustrated, alphaente plans to claim the money back through the credit card provider and complains about the difficulty of contacting eBay directly.
Hello ~
I bought several Bravo magazines from a seller. The item number is 178193155978.
I have not received the magazines to this day, which is disappointing and frustrating. I wrote several eBay messages to the seller and at first he was friendly and cooperative. He kept putting me off and said that everything would still work out or be sorted out. I wanted to be accommodating and did not immediately open a case for a non-received item. I generally do not like doing that.
However, the seller no longer responded to my last two messages, which was also very disappointing and frustrating. I felt forced to open an eBay case. But now I am getting the message that this is no longer possible because the time period for it has expired.
What are we supposed to do now? I feel completely cheated, screwed over, and lied to.
I really did not receive the magazines, and I can say that in all good conscience.
This is really not fair, correct, or okay.
As I said, I wanted to be accommodating and relied on the seller's statements, who kept putting me off and said that everything would be okay.
I was completely screwed over and, unfortunately, there is no other way to put it. I will have the money charged back through my credit card provider.
This is absolutely not okay.
Does eBay no longer have a normal email address? I wrote an email to kundenservice@ebay.de. But I got a message saying that the recipient at the address had refused acceptance (Server rejected recipient). eBay seems to make it extremely difficult for customers to contact them, which seems to be exactly what the company wants, so they have less work to do.

Mentor2 days agoHello @alphaente ,
You can find contact details in ebay's legal notice.
And just in case something like this happens again: don't let yourself be put off for so long.
Um, it should still be possible to rate. 😎

Mentor2 days agoHi, hi.
You don't need to contact eBay directly. Buyer protection lasts 30 days. Once that has expired, a personal message won't help either.
You paid by credit card, I'm not familiar with that. With Klarna you'd have 120 days, and with PayPal 180 days of buyer protection.
