Hello dear community,
I’m currently logged into my partner’s account, since with my blocked account I can no longer access the community either.
Today I suddenly received two emails saying that my account has been permanently blocked. I haven’t done anything out of the ordinary; for about two days there were two auctions running that do not violate eBay rules. I use eBay rather sporadically, but I’ve had my account for over 10 years and a 100% rating. In general, I would describe myself as reliable both as a buyer and a seller.
Now I’ve followed the link in the email and keep ending up with the chatbot. Calling doesn’t work, so I choose contact by email. But there I keep receiving only the same automated message that the block was imposed for the safety of members. That’s it.
No matter how I phrase my request, whether it’s a huge text or 2 words, that’s always the response. No other way to get in touch, nothing.
I’d like to ask you whether there’s still anything one can do? I find the situation very unfair and I’m shocked at how badly the customer support is organized.

Mentor3 weeks agoYou actually aren't allowed to be logged into your partner's account either, since eBay accounts are personal!
Here you won't get any information or help under a different account than the one you're writing from. And such bans can't be sorted out here anyway, that only works through customer service.
How you get there has already been written.

Mentor3 weeks agoEven if your account is blocked for buying and selling, you should still be able to log in.
You can also find eBay’s legal notice through a search engine. Unfortunately, we’re not allowed to post it here.

Unfortunately, due to health limitations, I can’t usually/most of the time make phone calls at the moment, and I’d then have to take care of getting someone else to do that for me. Is phone support generally helpful with issues like this? I’d rather not drag another person into days of phone calls right now

Mentor3 weeks agoHonestly, most people are very glad when they have nothing to do with the phone jokers. Unfortunately, it often already fails because of the language barrier, or they just hang up.
But you can also be lucky and get a committed employee.
