Account Restricted!
Hello, I have a problem. I can no longer place bids. A window pops up saying: Your account has been restricted because you have not paid multiple times. The funny thing is, ALL of my purchases were paid for via PayPal and ALWAYS paid. How else can you have a "clean slate" in your feedback profile? eBay is very opaque when it comes to contacting an actual human employee. Has anyone else had this problem before, and how was it resolved?

Mentor2 weeks agoHi @spion4711
a "clean" rating profile for buyers says nothing, since for good reasons they haven’t been able to receive negative ratings for years now.
You could, just for fun, click Buy on one of my items. Should it unexpectedly work, I will of course cancel the purchase immediately at your request.
Best wishes from the Baltic Sea

OP2 weeks agoThanks for the offer, but I don’t want to accept it. Today I got a message from eBay saying that they can’t find anything about a restriction, so I put it to the test and lo and behold: I’m still restricted! I took a picture and inserted it into my reply. Well, now it’s eBay’s turn and I’m waiting to see what comes next...!
Greetings from the Rhine-Neckar triangle to the cool Baltic Sea ;-)

Mentor2 weeks agoIf you actually can’t bid or buy from certain sellers, then that’s not a restriction from eBay, but from the sellers themselves!

OP2 weeks agoHow am I supposed to understand that? If you offer bidding, then there can't be any selection about who is allowed and who isn't!?

Mentor2 weeks agoOf course there can be a selection! Every seller decides who can/may buy or bid.
Of course that doesn't work for every individual interested party, but you can put users on the blocklist and you can set it so that users with 2 notes for non-payment or culpable purchase cancellation can no longer bid or buy.
