After 26 years of membership, my account was suddenly restricted and payout blocked, even though my account was already verified in 2024 and nothing, absolutely nothing, has changed, but that wasn’t enough. Now I was also told that before 2024 I had never sold anything, I was always a buyer. On top of that, an extremely rude employee accused me of lying multiple times.What’s also astonishing is that I was told on the phone by an employee I had spoken to earlier that if I carried out the direct verification, the payments would be released right away. LIE!And the kicker: before I sold anything now, there were still 170 euros in my eBay account. Those were withheld too. eBay really must be desperate.There have always been phases where you got the feeling that eBay wants to lose its members, but this is ridiculous, especially since this isn’t really about verification at all, but about unrestricted access to your own account. My bank already told me that through this "verification", this Trustly or whatever the crap is called, I’m granting access to my account AND my data.
