free return shipping
Summary: rookie-02 reports problems with a battery they bought as compatible for a screwdriver, but it does not charge with the original charger. Although free returns were offered, the seller is demanding that the buyer cover the return shipping costs. Customer service confirmed a return, but did not respond to the lack of a return label. bootyooty replies that if the item description is incorrect, the costs should be borne by the seller.
I bought a battery for a Festool cordless screwdriver. The item is described as compatible, but it cannot be charged with an original charger. The seller lists these items with free return shipping. However, when I want to return it, he now wants me to send the battery back at my own expense. I have already contacted customer service. They did confirm the return, but even though I only referred to the refusal to provide a return label, they are not responding to that. What can I do?

Mentor3 weeks ago@rookie-02 if the reason for return is given as “item not as described,” the seller also bears the return shipping costs.
