Customer buys item (pickup only) but doesn't pay and doesn't pick it up.
Summary: steffen-schmalbein sold a dryer, but the buyer has neither responded nor paid for over four weeks. bootyooty suggests canceling the purchase agreement due to non-payment and offering the item for sale again, while the original buyer should be blocked.
I sold a dryer for collection by buyer, and for over four weeks he hasn't contacted me, paid, or responded to my messages sent via eBay Messages.
Despite repeated attempts, I can't make any contact, and all I want to know is whether the buyer still wants the dryer or not.
I don't know how to sort this out.

Mentor1 month agoHello @steffen-schmalbein
the dryer was sold with a price suggestion, some people still think of it as a game like at a bazaar, I throw out a price to see how far I can go.
Unfortunately, many users overlook the fact that an accepted price suggestion is to be seen as a binding purchase contract, which you could also enforce under civil law.

Mentor1 month agoHi @steffen-schmalbein after such a long time, one could assume that he doesn't want the item; otherwise he would have paid a long time ago.
Just write to him via the ebay system that you're terminating the purchase contract due to non-payment and that he no longer has any claim to the item.
After that, relist the item for sale, but as a precaution block the bidder
