Good morning everyone, I’m having the same problem again. This is the third time this year I’ve been reviewed, the phone calls are simply being disconnected, and I’m getting different answers. If you want to speak to someone with expert knowledge or someone who can make a decision, you don’t get transferred. Service isn’t exactly eBay’s strength. I’m pretty frustrated by now. eBay should slowly start sending the prompt to register as a business seller!
On the other hand, I’m surprised anyone buys from you at all with the shipping costs you charge - and then on top of that: each additional item + €10.00. I always thought there was an upper limit for shipping costs, but some people shamelessly exploit that.
@elke@ebay so how does it work with the shipping cost cap? Has anything changed there?

Hi Elke,
the values given there only apply to each individual item. In theory, I could charge an extra € 4.00 for every additional item when shipping by letter. That would then be € 40.00 for 10 items. 😒

Since I’ll be abroad for 3 years soon and won’t be able to pursue my passion professionally anymore, I’m selling my collection. Ah well, you probably don’t know stuff like that. Oh, sorry that I didn’t collect stamps. If commercial sellers feel attacked because I’m not selling the collection to one of them but am making the effort to do it myself, sorry, they’ll have to deal with that. I refuse to be labeled. But eBay is still withholding my money without legal basis. And now an activation should be carried out. I wish you a nice Sunday.

MentorAug 9, 2026 at 11:36 AMYes, we know that all too well! It’s always supposedly some kind of collection liquidation, household clearance, or something else that has to serve as an excuse.
And nobody, really nobody here is even remotely thinking about buying your collection!
And users like that should be checked much more closely, and not just by eBay. But that’s still to come!

I'm just a Märklin fan. I still build Märklin metal construction sets today. But what can you do about people who have no imagination or a decent hobby. But that doesn't solve my problem right now.
