Refund VAT from eBay
Good morning,
Ebay deducted VAT from me when I sold a PS5 game and therefore did not transfer the full amount to me. I think Ebay mistakenly assumed it was a virtual product. But I sold a normal game. Who do I need to contact to get this back.
Unfortunately, the hotline staff don’t understand me. Is there an email address or something similar?

·1 month agoHello @hankawarga , thank you very much for your post. This is actually related here to the item description you chose, which caused the item to be recognized as digital ("Preorder Code"). The VAT is then collected directly by eBay and paid by the buyer.

OP1 month agoHello Elke, thanks for your reply. But I bought and sold the game in physical form. The included code is only for additional content. So do I now have no chance at all of getting a refund of the VAT?

·1 month agoHello @hankawarga , many thanks for your feedback. In any case, you should first upload a valid tracking number on eBay so that the system can recognize that the item was shipped by post.

OP1 month agoItem no.: 117392010612 From the photos, it can be seen that it is a normal video game with a CD to insert into the PS5 drive. A previous conversation with customer service about why VAT is listed was only answered with; that's now a new law.
