my offer will not be published

Question

I want to sell a used e-bike. For safety reasons, the battery is not included - that’s also stated in the listing. Still, my offer isn’t being published. What can I do?

The legal regulations have kept changing lately, so unfortunately it’s no longer possible.

the sale of used e-bikes is not allowed on eBay:

New e-bikes: must be certified in accordance with the safety requirements of the CE directives and carry a CE marking. Please read all applicable regulations, as described in the Road Traffic Act, to ensure compliance. Pedelecs are limited to a maximum speed of 25 km/h and motor power of up to 250 W. S-pedelecs may reach a maximum speed of 45 km/h and have a motor power of up to 4 kW.
- Private sellers may only offer pre-approved e-bikes that already have the required documentation from the manufacturer or a recognized conformity assessment body.
- Eligible sellers may offer refurbished e-bikes with new OEM batteries or with professionally tested original OEM batteries that have undergone documented diagnostics and meet the safety standards.
- Used e-bikes are not permitted.

Did you write clearly without battery? I think that won't work without battery either. An eBay employee is looking into it and will get back here. @selina_b@ebay would you be so kind? Thanks
