Monthly limit is not increased despite top shop – support has been putting me off for days
Summary: sti_9505 describes problems with one of his eBay accounts, especially a low sales and monthly limit despite having booked a Top Shop, which restricts the use of the listings included. Support keeps putting him off, although the limit is supposedly already said to have been increased, which he never requested. Despite numerous calls, the problem remains unresolved. perfect-sally points out that the account does not provide a VAT ID and that legal information is missing, which could lead to further restrictions.
Hello everyone,
for one of my eBay accounts, I’ve had several problems in a row for days now. First, my bank account couldn’t be verified, which meant I initially couldn’t switch the account to business. After that was finally sorted out, I booked Top Shop.
Now, however, the sales/monthly limit is so low that I can’t even fully use the listings included in the Top Shop subscription. On my other three accounts, the limit could be increased without any issues, only on this account it doesn’t work. According to support, the limit supposedly had already been increased earlier, even though I never requested one myself.
Since Friday I’ve been calling support again and again because of this. I keep being passed around and fobbed off, supposedly a team lead or a specialist department is supposed to take care of it. But there’s still no solution so far. Today I was again transferred multiple times and in the end the call was simply ended.
What’s especially annoying is that I’m paying for Top Shop, but because of the low limit I can’t use the included listing capacity at all.
Has anyone experienced something like this before and know how to get eBay to actually do a manual review and increase the limit?

In addition, some legally required business details are missing, which eBay doesn’t care that much about, but the lawyers who send cease-and-desist letters do!
