Neutral rating since the customer didn’t look at my pictures

Hello dear community,
after a long time on eBay, it happened to me too that I received an unfair or negative rating. I had never received a neutral or bad rating in all those years. The customer even writes in the neutral rating that they did not look at the pictures.
I sold a book for €2.90 and the damage is visible in the photos. The customer then also writes in the neutral rating that he did not look at the pictures. And yet he still gave me a neutral rating because of that.
So the rating is unjustified. What can I do about it!

Mentor2 months agoHow does one even come up with the idea that having 1,858 active listings somehow makes you a private seller? That's an outrageous insult. This can get very expensive very quickly, and then my sympathy will be very limited!

You can save yourself the disclaimer, along the lines of "I pay the eBay fees, the buyer pays the shipping costs".
As a private seller, you don’t pay any fees to eBay, unless you have selected fee-based conditions for the item.

have you ever thought about registering as a business seller on eBay?
The rating is neutral, it does not reduce your rating status of 100 percent and it does not conflict with the rating guidelines.

so sorry, if the book has damage, then this also has to be stated in the item description.
"CONDITION SEE PHOTOS" is not a sufficient item description - yes, that’s what the field is called.
What kind of damage is it then? - I can’t really see much there - and no one is obliged to search for it.
Many buyers are also on the go with the app, and accordingly the pictures are small too.
If the item now has damage that wasn’t mentioned, then that’s on you.
