No buyer protection?
Seller sends me a loose metal coin in a paper envelope, how could that possibly work? Ebay decided against me???? All I received was a empty envelope with a hole on
the side.

If an item doesn’t arrive, eBay wants proof of shipment from the seller. The seller apparently provided that.
You can appeal the decision and then also describe that you received an empty envelope.

Mentor2 weeks agoAnd how or what did you complain about? If you reported an item not received, that was wrong because you did receive something, and probably with proof of delivery.
In that case, you open a return with the reason that the item is not as described, and then eBay won't decide against you.
