Hello everyone, First of all: I’m a private seller. Until now, I’ve sold a fair number of items in one- to three-month stretches. For my own safety alone, I only ship with tracking - unfortunately, with eBay constantly changing the interface (which is annoying enough already), it no longer even provides for adding postage with tracking, so I always have to select “other” for small to Maxi letters. In a way, eBay is forcing you to offer items without tracking. I do regularly write in my listings that I ship only with tracking, but it seems most people don’t read that!And now this: all of a sudden my payments are being held - “by default,” whatever that’s supposed to mean! The help pages are really not helpful here. Here, sellers are regularly - perhaps unintentionally - made into villains, and only the buyers are protected. But in purchase agreements between private individuals, the shipping risk is legally borne by the buyer. So how does eBay intend to solve the problem?
