Proper invoice
Summary: j.r.stone expresses frustration over the increasing difficulty of obtaining proper invoices from sellers on an online platform. They describe the challenge of continuously requesting these documents and the lack of response from sellers who hide behind anonymity. j.r.stone also criticizes the platform for not assisting with this issue and questions whether it should ensure that transactions are properly documented. They inquire about possible recourse, such as reporting to tax authorities.
Proper invoice
Lately, the cases have been increasing where the seller, despite requests and follow-up, does not provide an invoice or sends
invoices that are not properly issued.
It’s tedious to have to request every second invoice, and often the sellers don’t reply to these messages and hide
behind the anonymity of eBay. eBay itself stays rather discreetly in the background and doesn’t really help with this .....
I don’t need an invoice for every transaction, but it really should be standard
Shouldn’t eBay, as a platform, also make sure that invoices are issued and that everything runs properly?
Who can you turn to - the tax office?

Mentor4 days agoFirst of all, the purchase contract is between buyer and seller, and not between buyer and eBay. Sellers are solely responsible for invoices.
To clarify: are you buying with this, a private, account?
Then you don't even have any claim to a proper invoice because it's private! If you insist on invoices, then you need a business account that you can buy with, and if no invoices come then your complaint is justified.
With this account, you're complaining unjustly!
