Insane price increase
I wanted to reorder a fan heater I had bought and saw that the price had risen from about €12 to an unbelievable €915, so by over 1500% !! How is that possible, and is there anyone who actually buys at this crazy price?

Mentor1 month agoHey @to.ka13 this used to be a popular method to keep the listing on eBay from getting lost when the item isn’t in stock at the moment. It keeps buyers from buying, and the item keeps its listing.

OP1 month ago · EditedAaah, i see... OK, now it makes sense! Just a mischief question: what if a customer, incidentally maybe, really buys the item at that price? Do they actually have to pay ?!
-- withdrawn... you said the're out of stock, okay.

Mentor1 month agoOf course... once it's bought, it's bought, then we've paid.
With a commercial seller, you naturally have the right of withdrawal, but I don't think anyone would actually buy at those utopian prices @to.ka13 😉

Mentor1 month agoOf course purchases have to be paid for; the price is clearly visible BEFORE the purchase!
Whether the seller can actually deliver, however, is another matter.
