Package not received
Summary: vlad.-64 reports that a watch they ordered has not arrived, even though the delivery driver marked it as delivered. perfect-sally and petersmodellbahnstuebchen advise getting in touch with the shipping provider and eBay. vlad.-64 has already reported the missing delivery to eBay and is waiting for the case to be processed by eBay customer service. They discuss whether the buyer might not have protection if a drop-off location was specified. vlad.-64 suspects an issue on the part of the delivery service, since the package can’t be found anywhere.
Hello.
I bought a watch.
I have ordered from there before – all the items I ordered from them were delivered on time and without any problems.
But I did not receive this exact package.
The delivery driver neither put it in the mailbox nor left it next to it.
As a result, he marked the package as delivered, and that was it.
Could you please tell me what I should do in such a case?
Is there a way to enforce my rights using the eBay buyer protection program?
Thank you.

OP5 days agoHello everyone!
Here is some more information.
According to Hermes Tracking, the package was successfully delivered. But in fact, the package is nowhere to be found. Not in the mailbox, not next to it, and not with the neighbors either. I also went to the nearby Hermes branch, but it wasn’t there either.
I marked the package as “not received” and am now waiting for further support from the eBay team.
I’m very disappointed, as this package is very important to me.
eBay customer service has paused handling the request for a week. According to eBay, the review is now supposed to take place within 48 hours. I’m really hoping for that, and for buyer protection (Buyer Protection program).
I’d be grateful for any advice and help.

Mentor4 days agoHey @vlad.-64 which drop-off location is specified for Hermes as a one-off? Please find that out and who specified this drop-off location if it wasn't you?
As sorry as I am…. if goods are stolen from the drop-off location after delivery, there is no buyer protection for that, not even with PayPal.
vlad.-64
OP4 days ago · EditedYes, I specified the pickup location, but only once. I specified it myself (namely the mailbox, as is usual with standard delivery).
I checked the package on site about 3–4 hours after delivery, and it was no longer there. I doubt that someone could have stolen it in that time. I assume that this is dishonesty on the part of the courier service.

Mentor4 days agoHi @vlad.-64
You're assuming the courier service is being dishonest, but you have no evidence for that.
As already written, you need to sort that out with the shipping provider.

Mentor4 days ago@vlad.-64 quick question... would the package have even fit through the mail slot? Sure, a watch is flat, but usually it’s in a box, cushioned to be shockproof, and then in a cardboard box or something similar.
A normal mailbox can barely fit a thick parcel mail item or a packed full max letter that then gets shoved in, but a package?
vlad.-64
OP4 days agoPackages like this are often left next to the mailbox or in front of the door. That’s how I’ve always received all my packages so far. But this time, that wasn’t the case.

Mentor4 days agoNo, that can’t be right.
You can choose drop-off locations exactly:
Preferred neighbor
Mailbox
Apartment door
etc.
If mailbox is specified, the goods have to be in the mailbox too, not in front of it.
So my question, which I’ll repeat again.... WOULD the parcel have even fit IN the mailbox?
vlad.-64
OPyesterday at 3:28 PMI don't know whether the package fits in the mailbox or not. I had left my phone number and the delivery service can call me.
Such a bad delivery.
I have closed the topic.
Thanks.

Mentor1 week ago · EditedHi @vlad.-64
what does the eBay tracking say?
If the item has been marked as delivered by your shipping provider, you need to sort that out with them.
vlad.-64
OP4 days agoHi @petersmodellbahnstuebchen,
the seller has chosen an external shipping provider – Hermes.
Hermes throws up its hands and says: If it was delivered, then it was delivered. They don't provide any further information.

Mentor4 days agoHi @vlad.-64
why did the seller choose the shipping provider? You can already see in the listing which shipping provider it is. Just give the item number.
Also, you can read in the Buyer Protection policy when this does not apply:

Mentor1 week agoIn any case, first report a non-received item. Does the tracking clearly say it was delivered to your address?
vlad.-64
OP4 days agoThanks. I have already informed eBay that the shipment did not arrive.
Yes, according to the tracking data, it was delivered to my address.
I added that in this topic.

Mentor4 days agoEbay will probably do nothing for you because
there is a tracking number which confirms delivery
according to your statement, you booked a drop-off location and thus your buyer protection has expired
