Price proposal - counteroffer always plus shipping

we currently have the following problem. A buyer made us a price offer, which we answered with a counteroffer.
The buyer is from the area and would like to pick up the item from us.
In our counteroffer, nothing is selectable regarding a shipping option, let alone an option that allows pickup to be selected.
There is only a fixed note here under "Additional conditions: price offer without shipping".
So we actually assume that the buyer receives the counteroffer as such, since they want to pick it up anyway.
But we can see that the buyer receives our counteroffer with "+ Free shipping". How can that be?
We then explicitly wrote in the messages function in the counteroffer, "Price valid for pickup only".
Now the customer insists on delivery.

The buyer can then choose the shipping options after purchase, which you have stored in the listing.
The fact that you are now making counteroffers without shipping is simply not right.
Especially since the buyer can’t pay you the shipping costs separately anyway, because the checkout will show "free shipping" when they want to pay.
Making price suggestions without shipping now just doesn’t work, even if you mention it additionally.
The shipping options that are stored in the listing apply.
I find your handling questionable.

Did you look at the screenshots? These are details set by eBay that clearly contradict each other. That initially has nothing to do with which shipping options I stored in the listing.
What matters to me is that my counteroffer says, "price proposal without shipping," but the buyer still gets the full shipping options. That should not be allowed and needs to be clearly regulated.

this is also clearly regulated for price suggestions: the shipping options stored in the offer always apply.
If you want to deviate from this in a particular case, you can end the original offer and create a new offer with the self-pickup option. You can then send the new item number to the interested party.

Exactly - you can write whatever you want there - the eBay system can’t capture that.
The listing was posted with free shipping - so you can’t just demand shipping costs on top if it’s going to be shipped after all.
The shipping terms stored in the listing apply - also for price offers. You can’t deviate from that.
Then you simply should have set the price offer higher, because shipping is free in the listing, after all.

That’s a system error from eBay, isn’t it? (See screenshot1)
It should either be hidden completely or be a selectable field, otherwise it’s extremely confusing for sellers who offer price suggestions.

You wrote the additional conditions yourself, didn’t you?
That’s how you mentioned it in the original post anyway.
A price offer is always without shipping - so at best it should have said without "shipping costs" here - if that’s how eBay had it stored.
And even so, the statement still remains the same - a price offer never includes shipping or shipping costs.
The customer selects this shipping option at checkout.
That has nothing to do with the item price - so basically price without shipping
And if you offer free shipping, then the customer just selects that at checkout - so free shipping or free local pickup.

Because in the offer itself you are offering "free shipping" for this item.

at checkout then 759 EUR + 0.00 EUR shipping costs - as stored there - so free shipping

We’re talking past each other here.
Nowhere does it state in detail that the prices always include shipping. The only thing that’s stated in detail there is that the price suggestion is without shipping. So the seller is being misled by that statement.
To get around that, I’ve now taken action and added pickup to my terms and conditions for all items as well. Even so, with a counteroffer, no further option can still be selected by the seller under the point "Additional conditions".

Yeah, apparently, because you're interpreting something different here.
Price suggestions always refer only to the item price - without shipping costs.
It doesn't matter at all what shipping options you've set up.
The buyer then chooses them after the purchase.
There are many sellers who have different shipping options set up.
So shipping can't be included in the price suggestion at all, because the customer only chooses it themselves after the purchase.
