Problem with the seller and purchase

I ordered an item. I quickly realized I'd purchased the wrong one. I quickly contacted the seller asking if it was possible to exchange the item. He didn't respond. I canceled the purchase. I bought the correct one. I contacted him. Nothing. That evening, he wrote asking me to cancel. I had done this much earlier. I sent him a screenshot and emailed him. No response. The next day, he refused to accept the cancellation and sent the item. Of course, he didn't respond to my messages. What should I do?

OP3 weeks agoI'll ask one last time. Some people have jumped on me with their knowledge here. I won't comment on that. If I refuse the shipment as the seller wrote and I have photos to prove it, will I get a refund after about two days? Or is it better to collect it and return it, which would increase the cost.

your seller is asking you here to refuse acceptance of the parcel. In this case, you are allowed to do that. If he then does not refund the amount within 2 business days after he has received the goods back, please open a return. There your seller can then also refund the amount to you.

OP3 weeks agoI asked the seller yesterday if that's what he meant. He said I shouldn't accept the package. It's difficult to communicate with him, and he only replies once a day. It'll be worse if the courier leaves it at my house, as they often do. Someone from eBay also told me to return it as a damaged item. Then I won't have to pay for shipping. Can I do that too? What if I can't reach an agreement with the seller?

No, you can't do that!
What is your real problem, anyway? You buy something and then realize it was wrong. And everyone is to blame except you? Bear the consequences that arise from this and admit your own fault! And yes, sometimes your own mistakes also cost your own money!

OP3 weeks agoYou still don't understand that the seller saw I bought the wrong item and didn't have time to cancel. What are the consequences? I'm asking what I should do because this is the first time I've had this problem, as I don't buy on eBay often. I wonder how you would feel if you bought it, canceled it, and had to pay. End of story

·3 weeks ago@przemys-0 Good evening. 🙂 In principle, sellers are not obliged to accept a purchase cancellation. If you received the incorrectly ordered item, you can open a return and send the item back.

Of course, you have to return the wrongly purchased item with tracking at your own expense, have you already done that?

OP3 weeks agoHow nice! I'm just annoyed about this situation. I've bought and cancelled something on eBay before, and there were absolutely no problems. I've never had such difficulties on other shopping platforms. And contacting the seller is really difficult.

OP3 weeks agoHe told me to claim the item was damaged and I wouldn't have to pay for shipping. The seller told me not to accept the package, but I'm afraid he'll charge me extra.

You have to accept it and then open a return, otherwise your buyer protection is gone.
