He was puzzled by a notice saying that his limits had been reached, even though a second eBay account had not received such a message. perfect-sally explained that the calculation always runs from January 1 to December 31, and eBay starts requesting tax information when you get close to the thresholds. In addition, having multiple accounts does not let you double the exempt allowances.
Hello,
but DAC7 explicitly says within a calendar year. However, according to my seller account, my transactions were in the period from the transaction period: 01 Aug. 2025–31 Jul. 2026 !
In this year 2026, so far there have only been 25 transactions with sales of approx. 1,600 euros.
Why am I now getting the notice that my limits have been reached?
Am I seeing this correctly, or have I misinterpreted something?
However, I also have a second eBay account for which I have not yet received such a message,

Mentor3 weeks agoIt is always calculated from January 1 to December 31 of the same year.
And if you get close to the limits, eBay starts asking for tax numbers. And if you have multiple accounts, then of course you don’t also get double the "allowance".
