I'm really slowly at the end of my rope - above all I can't stand these generic one-size-fits-all template answers anymore.. I'm summarizing my eBay odyssey here once again.. Registered at the end of July.. Put household goods up for sale because of moving.. By now sold and shipped over 100 items and only received positive feedback.. Then verification took over 2 weeks.. Account restricted.. Then supposedly the tax ID wasn't provided.. Then the bank account had to be verified twice.. Then account restricted again.. Wait for verification again.. And so on... But that's not what it's about RIGHT NOW at least:
That you're basically being punished because, as a new seller, you generated mid-four-digit sales within a very short time.. Yes, I've understood that by now.. Also that you wait 30 days until the sales proceeds are available, because the buyer might have some random issue.. Yes, I've understood that too.. That NONE of this is mentioned during normal registration and you first have to click through several pages of FAQs/terms and conditions to read such (nested) notes.. Yes, I got that too.. That eBay uses primitive first-semester business/economics 101 to enforce its own interests.. Blah blah blah, I've said it often enough.. The buyers are protected, the sellers are left to fend for themselves..
Now please explain the following to me:
Some amounts were supposedly available via the seller account from 07.09. - 10.09.. These no longer show up under the withheld amounts either.. But they aren't available either.. Just vanished into thin air.. At some point enough is enough, really.. What excuse is it going to be this time..? Who am I supposed to contact now..? Support, who reply once in a blue moon (via AI???) and only keep you hanging..? The ladies and gentlemen on the phone, who also just read out some canned responses and can hardly speak proper German/English/Spanish/French..?!
Specifically, I'm talking about the order 14-14987-81619
Since today it shows a "Completed" for me..? Completed what..? The day before yesterday it said the withheld amount for it would be available on 10.09.. And now it's just done with eBay or what..? Nothing is available....
Sorry, but by now everyone here really needs to understand that this behavior won't be acceptable forever.. Such a lack of transparency will in a few years ensure that eBay gets run over by some offshoot.. People aren't complaining here every minute for no reason.. Among other things, livelihoods are being messed with here so they can keep juggling money from some really poor souls a little longer..
Edit: Btw, is it really reputable when I post my two cents in "Members helping members" and yet only "mentors" answer here, equipped with an imaginary gag order.. Or they just don't have their own opinion..
