QR code for return label is not accepted
Summary: kaeptn_blaubart reported a problem with a return label on eBay that was not accepted at the Hermes shop. Another participant, perfect-sally, explained that not all returns are automatically free, even for eBay Plus members. selina_b@ebay and melina@ebay, apparently eBay employees, promised to help and clarified that there may be general conditions for returns, such as for blocked or hazardous goods. In the end, kaeptn_blaubart received the return label they needed.
Hello everyone.
As an Ebay member, I can return items free of charge.
Today I wanted to do that for an item for which the return period expires today. The return request was also accepted and the QR code created.
But at the Hermes shop, the code was rejected with the note that free returns are not possible for this item.
You can cancel the return request, but then another return is no longer possible. So I left it alone.
The Ebay help doesn’t give any information on what to do about this. Does anyone have any advice?

There isn’t really a limit on the number of returns. However, there are general conditions for the eBay Plus return labels for example for bulky goods or hazardous goods. You can find them here.

Mentor2 weeks agoThat's not right! Then all eBay members would have to get the benefit of free returns!
If anything, you subscribed to eBay Plus! But even with that, not everything can be returned free of charge. There are weights and parcel sizes that are limited. And even if you have already used too many free returns, that can be restricted.
Please state the item number and an eBay employee can take a look.
