QR code for payment approval
Scam? An item that was listed as "for pickup only" has supposedly been paid for, but the item is to be sent or picked up by a freight company. The payment will only be released after a QR code has been scanned.

what do you mean by "supposedly" paid?
Either the buyer paid or they didn't - you can see that when selling.
The buyer has to give you a pickup code upon collection.
That is your assurance that the item has been handed over.
No code - no goods.
You can do that by scanning the QR code or by manually entering the code.
... apart from that, has it been sorted out or why did you list the item again?
