Hello, I bought an item, but it arrived as a counterfeit. I wanted to send the item back. However, there are problems, because the item was removed due to a violation. The shipping costs would be high, since the item comes from China. While I was talking to the seller and asked for a return label, my refund arrived even though I still have the item. Can I keep the item now? The seller still hasn’t responded and I can’t get a return label any other way.

Mentor1 month agoIf the seller wants the item back, he has to pay you the return shipping in advance! If he doesn’t get in touch, you have to keep the item in case he does get in touch after all, and that until 12/31/2029

OP1 month agoDoes the seller even know the shipping costs in advance? There were no shipping costs when I bought it, but if I send the item back to China, it will definitely get expensive.

Mentor1 month agoThe seller could definitely find out how much the shipping costs with tracking to China are. Also, you could let him know what it would cost.

OP1 month agoI definitely wrote to the seller that I need a return label. He sent me his address, but I think I shouldn’t send the package off without a label. Regarding the shipping costs, the seller said I should show him the invoice and then he’ll cover it

Mentor1 month agoThe seller can't send you a label from China! And please do not, under any circumstances, pay for the label out of your own pocket; you will never get that money back.
The seller must pay you the costs in advance!

As @perfect-sally already wrote, he sends you the money for the shipping label and only then do you send the item back.

OP1 month agoSo first I need to know exactly how much shipping costs beforehand? I think I saw somewhere that for packages under 2kg it costs around €25. And then I don't need a label - I just send the package to the address?

Mentor1 month agoJust leave it alone! Why would you invest your money, which you'll never see again once you pay for shipping. The seller has to pay IN ADVANCE if he wants the item back.
And since shipping would cost at least €25.49, it would never even occur to me to invest money again for a fake.
