Hello everyone,
I have a question about a refund on eBay. My return is on the way or will be delivered to the seller today. On eBay it says that the refund is processed within 3 days after delivery.
At the same time, I’m being shown: “Refund by August 17”.
What does that mean exactly? Does it mean that the seller has to initiate the refund within those 3 days and that after that the money only depends on the payment method? Or can it actually take until August 17?
When can I roughly expect my money?

As a rule, you will receive your refund from your seller three days after the item has been delivered to the seller and they have checked it. 17 August 2026 is only the latest possible date here; until then, the seller has time to respond to this case and find a solution independently.
