Accept return - Undo.
how can I undo a return that I supposedly accepted?
I just wanted to see whether the option was available for the buyer to have to pay the return shipping costs.
I’m not paying that since it’s a private sale and I only have the buyer’s statement.

If it’s a normal return and you accept it, the buyer has to pay the return shipping costs anyway.
If it’s a complaint, you can’t refuse at all and you pay the return shipping. And if you don’t do that, then eBay will step in and handle it. Then you lose the money and the item and get a defect on your account.

OP2 months agoI wanted Ebay to resolve the case, and I was willing to take the item back, but the buyer should pay for the return shipping.
I just looked for the option for it, but then eBay immediately selected that I accept it... that can’t be right...
The buyer says the console loads too slowly for him, but it works. And that’s why he wants to exchange it??? He just wants to back out of the purchase, that’s all
And I wanted to select that I agree to the return, but without having to cover the costs, nothing more

Mentor2 months agoNo @lion7123 if a buyer selects "item not as described" as the case reason, the seller pays the return shipping costs, that's set in stone, you can't change that or undo it.
Send the buyer a return label so they can send it back, then refund them once the console has arrived back with you.
If you don't send them a label, eBay may close the case early in the buyer's favor, and then they'll still have the item and get their money refunded through eBay.
That'll also get you a defect entry in your seller account
