Return problem
Hello. I bought a defective instant water heater. The seller did not respond. Ebay refunded my money. Now the seller wants the device back from me. He can have it - but then he has the device and my money. Does Ebay deduct this money from him?

it can only be a complaint, otherwise eBay would not have refunded.
With a cancellation, the refund is only made after the goods are returned.

your received refund was charged back from the seller’s account - unless the refund was based on goodwill.
If he now wants the item back, he has to send you a prepaid label (alternatively, the postage amount)
