every so often I sell e-scooters - these are brand new and still in their original packaging. Since they are heavy packages weighing 55 kg, they have to be shipped with a specialized freight carrier.
I made the description very detailed, and also stated that this is a private sale and that returns are not possible because of the high shipping costs
“Sale is made excluding any liability for material defects”
It has now happened to me at least 4 times that I receive a price offer, accept it for example, and then the purchase takes place. Then the buyers don’t pay! In the
past I reported this to ebay, but nothing happens.
What has now happened, however, is that a customer wants to return the item after more than 3 weeks. But that is extremely difficult and actually not possible, because once
the device is unpacked, lots of parts have to be assembled. Then return and shipping, on top of that I as the seller having to bear the high shipping costs, I honestly
think is outrageous. And if we look at the whole thing very carefully, the purchase contract has already been concluded.
However, it is extremely difficult to contact ebay, I reported the customer that the reasons are flimsy, but the ruling came down in favor of the buyer.
Am I obliged to take the item back? Has something like this happened to anyone else here? Thanks in advance

Mentor6 days ago · EditedWhat reason was given for the return, then? If it's a complaint, you have to take it back and arrange for the return transport if you want the item back. Ebay doesn't care how you do it. Likewise, you can write whatever you want; as long as buyer protection hasn't expired, it's your move.
And how many such items does one supposedly have in one's assortment as a private seller? I don't see a private sale there, but a commercial dealer.
