A buyer returned my product because he wasn't satisfied. I agreed to refund the purchase price - although I'm not 100% sure the buyer is right, whatever. Now I want to send back the purchase price, but I don't know how to do that... especially since I haven't received the money from eBay yet

if the buyer initiated the return through a case on Ebay, you can create the refund from within the case.
For now, it doesn't matter whether your balance is already available or being held back.
If your balance isn't enough, Ebay will deduct the difference from your bank account.
