I haven’t sold anything on eBay for a very long time, but I did recently. The money was paid by the buyer and also credited to me. However, I made the mistake of entering a receipt number instead of the tracking number. I can’t correct this afterward anymore because I do everything on my smartphone and you need a PC or laptop for that. The AI just goes round in circles and actually wanted me to provide confirmation or a link that the item had arrived; I sent that, it was accepted, and I was even told that the seller had rated me well and that everything had arrived. Nevertheless, my money won’t be paid out because the tracking number is wrong. According to the very poorly German-speaking eBay employee, I can only correct that if I have access to a PC/laptop; otherwise the money will only be paid out weeks later.I find that absolutely outrageous.Sure, I could have entered the shipment correctly in the first place, but mistakes happen... taking away the option to correct it, or only being able to correct it via PC or laptop, is more than cheeky. For me it’s clear: never selling on eBay again.
