Just spent another 50 min on the hotline and on hold music - VAT ID wrong.
So, I already sold with this 4 years ago - then it got blocked.
The friendly staff from eBay then always unblocked me for 1 month.
I had the exact data sent to me via the Federal Central Tax Office.
Address, name, everything entered in eBay exactly the same and had it transferred -
but the staff still keep saying that the VAT identification number
is wrong - who knows what to do?

I'm glad you got in touch.
I'd be happy to help you. I also noticed that your tax ID appears to be invalid. This is shown to me in the system. You can also check this yourself. Please open the following link . There you can see that your tax ID is not valid. It's best to get in touch with the BZSt. again. As soon as you have a new VAT ID, please enter it in your eBay account.

Mentor3 weeks agoIt doesn’t necessarily have to be due to the VAT ID. Your data on eBay must match the BZSt data 100%, even the slightest deviation will be rejected.
Your legal notice is also inconsistent, and if it’s listed that way on eBay and differently at the BZSt then it simply doesn’t match.
Company name: complete
First name: only 1 first name
Last name: matches
This is just an example now, it could also be: A......Str..... and listed at the BZSt: A....straße - that would also not match.
There are quite a few possibilities for small details not to match. Why not request your data from the BZSt and compare it.

So I have the data from the BZSt,
since I’ve been amusing myself with this for a while now...
In the company details, everything is the same.
Except for a comma after the postal code, but that sorts itself out.
Street name and house number are the same too.
In the public details, the second first name was missing; I added it.
I’m happy to take a photo of the BZSt letter.
As soon as the data is correct?, will everything unlock itself, or do I need to contact eBay again?

Mentor3 weeks agoIf both first names are listed on ebay and this information is different at the BZSt, then ebay will naturally reject it.
The information on ebay must match the information at the BZSt 100% exactly, otherwise it won’t work.

Mentor3 weeks agoAs far as I’ve gathered so far, this gets checked at certain intervals and, if everything is correct, unlocked. But just to be on the safe side, we should still ask an eBay employee.
Please get back to us again from tomorrow morning onward, then we can invite the employee who is there at the time.
