Since yesterday, the eBay site hasn’t been working properly anymore, with a constant error message
Summary: irisches-bier reports ongoing problems with the functionality of an online platform that occur on their notebook and in different browsers. Other participants, including perfect-sally, suggest solutions such as clearing the cache or trying an alternative browser. Despite a short-term improvement, the problems keep coming back. One suggestion involves submitting screenshots for troubleshooting. In the end, it seems to work for a while without explanation, but the cause of the problem remains unclear.
since yesterday the eBay page on my PC hasn’t been working properly anymore.
I keep getting the following error message: "Sorry, there was a problem. Please refresh the page or try again later."
all I’m seeing is: Vouchers, price suggestions, orders
yesterday after restarting, I also got the message that there is generally a problem, without any further page loading.
the computer is a notebook with Linux as the operating system, the browser is Firefox, current version.

Mentor2 weeks agoHello @irisches-bier
Thanks for the post. We’re not aware of a widespread, well-known problem where multiple pages aren’t displayed. It’s probably due to the browser. Please try the Chrome browser. Feel free to get back to us if the problem persists, preferably with screenshots.
@petersmodellbahnstuebchen Thanks for the integration.
Best regards
Melina

OP2 weeks agoopening the complete page was only possible once after deleting, after that I had the same problem again. It's also on my other computer, not just on the one I'm working on now

OP2 weeks agoI won't use any other browser!!!!!!!
irisches-bier
OP2 weeks agoFirefox is the best and safest browser ever
perfect-sally
Mentor2 weeks agoYeah, exactly. Except that ebay just works best with Chrome. But whatever you want.

OP2 weeks agoI logged into my wife's notebook in Chrome, but it’s the exact same problem. I actually wanted to get someone from the hotline, but apparently there isn't anyone left there to help you anymore

Mentor2 weeks agoSince you’re currently at least the only user reporting this "issue," it’s hard to classify. If it were actually an eBay problem, quite a few users would be turning up here.
Why don’t you take one or two screenshots like Melina suggested, and she’ll take another look at it.
And I’ll ask again: can you rule out a technical problem with your internet provider?

Mentor2 weeks agoHi @irisches-bier
Have you tried using a different browser, e.g. Chrome?
Cleared the cache and cookies?
Maybe the lovely @melina@ebay can take a look at your account, thanks Melina. ❤️
Best wishes from the Baltic Sea

Mentor2 weeks agoAnd are you sure that you don't have a general problem on the provider's side?
Cleared the cache & deleted cookies? Tried another browser?
irisches-bier
OP2 weeks ago · EditedIt actually seems to have been the cache and cookies. Just weird that other websites apparently don’t care how full it is.
perfect-sally
Mentor2 weeks agoYeah, eBay seems to be a bit sensitive about that 😁
But if it helps, even better.

OP2 weeks agoLooks like that only worked for opening it once. When opening it a second time, the same problem

OP2 weeks agoI tried my luck again yesterday evening and lo and behold, as if nothing had happened, everything is running as usual without any problems whatsoever. I first tried it with my notebook at my acquaintance's place and then now at home. zero problems
