Lost shipment
A parcel sent with Hermes arrived empty with the buyer, as one side had been sealed with different tape, so I suspect theft during transit. Who is liable here, and what should be done next?

Mentor2 weeks agoFirst of all, you are liable to the buyer, and if they open a return you have to refund because the buyer certainly won't wait weeks or months until Hermes deigns to issue a refund, if they refund at all.
The rest has already been explained.

Mentor2 weeks agoHello, hello.
First, I’d contact Hermes and file a lost parcel report there. Alternatively, maybe also file a report with the police.
A small parcel with Hermes is insured for €40? Whether you actually get a refund depends entirely on Hermes and how they handle the issue. No one can tell you how it will turn out.
