Security check - serious procedure?
Hello, I sold a high-quality watch that is first supposed to be sent to the “security check”. The buyer and the security inspector have the same address. Is that a legitimate procedure? Does anyone have experience with this? How can it be ensured that during the security check the watch is not swapped for a fake and the purchase price is refunded? How can I view the buyer’s ratings? I’m grateful for any help.

·3 weeks ago@mary2262 Hey. 🙂 You see our authenticity verification address in the purchase details, not the buyer's.
The watch is shipped directly to the buyer after successful verification.
@perfect-sally Thanks a lot for tagging. 💖
Best wishes,

You must mean the authenticity check for the eBay item no.:178496175714.
The delivery address for you is initially the authenticator, who sends the watch to the customer after a successful check.

Mentor3 weeks agoI think there’s a misunderstanding here! A buyer definitely does not have the same address as the authenticity verifiers. Nobody here knows exactly how it works, but certified verifiers definitely don’t swap watches! You can see a buyer’s ratings when you click on ratings, but only if the buyer hasn’t set them to private. But I really don’t understand what that has to do with authenticity verification.
Please name the item number and an eBay employee can take a look.
Hello @nina@ebay would you be so kind? Thanks a lot
