I placed two orders (August and November) for the item “Hexagon LED lighting”. On 26/04/2026, I received an email from eBay itself with a safety warning about this product. Shortly afterward, the corresponding listing was removed.In response, I wrote to the seller and asked for a refund of the purchase price.He replied only that I could use the item without concern, as this was an error on eBay's part. I had already spoken with eBay support by phone last week, and the representative told me that they would ask the seller to refund the purchase price for both items.If no refund had been made by 01/05, I should get back in touch. I did so again today, and another representative told me that the seller had not provided the required safety or compliance documentation. The seller is not responding or is refusing to unwind the transaction. eBay Support refers exclusively to the expired buyer protection period (30 days) and offers no further assistance.Even a referral to the "specialized department for returns and delivery" brought no result.I was told there that the seller would once again be asked to contact me. When I asked what the representative expected from that, since the seller had already ignored the first request, I was told that no message would then be sent and that I should contact the seller personally.In addition, the representative from the specialist department told me that the email from eBay regarding the safety concerns would not be relevant. He then again referred me to the expired buyer protection. They offered to send me the seller's contact details (location: China) so that I could take legal action against them. Since this is not a normal return, but a potential safety issue, I am left with the question: What options do I still have in such a case if there is a safety warning, the seller does not respond, and eBay has already removed the item?
