Has anyone else had this experience too?
Right after the first Speedpak shipment (USA), an additional charge was withheld via eBay. After it had arrived with the customer. Shipping costs were 14.89 EUR - additional charge 22 EUR = 36.89 EUR.
The reason is interesting:
"The shipping provider stated the following dimensions for your package: 7.2 x 9.3 x 3.2 cm."
Speedpak supposedly measured that, and it's complete nonsense; that would be about the size of a cigarette pack. The size was about double that and well within the minimum size range.
Now I have to file a complaint and chase the money again... There were more shipments with Speedpak after that. I fear that random dimensions were also supposedly shipped there in order to keep "additional charges".

Just now I get a reply from customerhelp_de@ebay.com, which I was supposed to contact:
"Please note that this email address is not available for contact with eBay customer service. So that we can help you with your issue, please use the options below." = Chat or have them call you.
Call: BUT I WAS JUST THERE ALREADY!

OP2 months agoAfter Orange Connex accepted my complaint about the additional charge, I have now been waiting 1 week for the final refund from eBay.
According to the eBay message, the 22 EUR should have been credited and visible 1 week ago. But they aren't.
As expected, I've now been chasing the amount for 3 weeks.
I've also already called eBay twice today, and sent another message today.
No solution / credit, just having to keep explaining to this and that person what it's about...
That's not good.

OP2 months agoMy complaint with Orange (Speedpak) was accepted.
The additional charge should be refunded.

OP2 months agoThere was a reply from Orange Connex (Speedpak) yesterday. That's good.
They will check the dimensions. I.e. wait and see for now.
The shipment is already with the recipient, but OK, maybe there are records.
I had included a picture of one of these boxes with dimensions.
I could also prove the actual dimensions based on the goods ordered. They wouldn't fit in the alleged "cigarette box" at all.

Mentor2 months agoAt least I’ve read quite a few times that with Speedpak there have been additional charges that nobody could really understand. That’s why I stay away from it.

I’ll keep an eye on it. Especially the reimbursement of the "recalculation".
Speedpack DE should be responsible for that. I’m also happy to call them for clarification.
If that happens again or there’s a long discussion, then it’s over for us.

OP2 months agoI’m putting shipping on hold for now.
Because claiming afterward that the shipment was only half as big, that means it needs to be recalculated, and not by a little....that’s just not acceptable!
