Detect language version of a game using its EAN?

As a private individual, am I supposed to recognize from an EAN code which language version a PlayStation game is? I bought a game and it wasn’t stated in the description that it’s the English version. Even from the only photo, which showed the front of the game, nothing could be seen
However, it does say on the back that it’s an English version. Only by researching the barcode would you know that it’s the English version. Can you really expect something like that from a layperson? Do I have any chance of a return, even if the seller does not accept returns?

To your question: based on an EAN code, nobody has to recognize which languages they are.
And if the game does not match the description, every seller has to take it back, no matter what they accept or not, and whether commercial or private.

I haven't contacted the seller yet, since I always like to clarify everything first, just in case I'm wrong. Of course, I want to avoid unnecessary trouble.
