Hello everyone,I urgently need the community’s experience or, ideally, the help of a moderator with a technical problem regarding an account conversion.Background: My private original account was justifiably restricted for tax reasons by eBay in summer 2023 (listings deleted, selling stopped) because I had missed the deadline to upgrade to a business account and to provide the VAT ID number.In the eBay emails at the time, it explicitly said: “Please switch your eBay account now and provide your valid German VAT identification number to lift this restriction.”My current problem: I have now officially registered my business, have all tax documents as well as a new business bank account (including a new, unused IBAN) ready. I now want to upgrade the account to a business account, as eBay requested back then, and enter the details so I can start off completely cleanly and honestly.However, as soon as I try to add my new bank details in the system, the process stops and the message appears: “Your account has been restricted, please contact support.”Since the system does not allow me to change the data myself because of the existing restriction, I’m stuck at a dead end. Unfortunately, phone support wasn’t able to help me, as the issue of the “2023 tax restriction” could not be correctly assigned there & the attempt to set up a new account in a clean business way is also blocked immediately. Are there any sellers here who had the same problem when upgrading later on? Or could a moderator take a look at my case so that I can submit my business and tax details manually to have the restriction lifted?Thank you in advance for your help!Kind regards Eldar
