Pay taxes?
Does anyone know, has experience with this, from when the limit is reached so that you have to pay taxes on sold goods?
Wouldn’t I have to register a business for that? eBay once informed me at some point that I should watch out
so I don’t exceed the limit. But I don’t remember the exact wording anymore. Thanks!

MentorAug 15, 2026 at 9:01 AMReaching the limit does not by any means mean that taxes are due too. The few things you sell from your household aren't of any interest to the tax office as long as you don't overdo it.
The platforms have to report to the tax authorities once either €2000 in proceeds or 30 items per year are reached.
If you get close to the limit, ebay will request the tax ID, and if you don't provide it, you won't be able to sell anymore.
