Partial refund

Hi, quick question.
I ordered a used Playstation 5 from a private seller, and paid right away.
€434 including shipping;
The item still hasn’t been shipped 3 days later.
I checked the status and now I see that I got a partial refund of €300 and am supposed to pay the remaining €134.
I haven’t gotten any message from the seller or anything else.
Notifying eBay doesn’t work either; it only routes me to the AI.
Can someone explain this to me? How can you get a partial waiver without any communication.
The seller now gets €134 without providing anything in return.
Trying to cancel the purchase right now and get all my money back.
Clearly a scammer, right?

OP1 week agoI just called eBay, and she said I should first cancel the purchase and wait until Friday. If nothing happens by then, I can “send back” the item and get my money back, she said. We’ll see.
I’m just wondering how it works that I only get a partial refund for an item that wasn’t even shipped. And then 300€ so arbitrarily. By the way, I paid exactly 431,49€. Not 434€.
