Ebay is still withholding money despite the issue being resolved
Summary: isishathor reported a problem with eBay in which money was still being withheld despite a positive response after a dispute. After a shipment on June 29, the recipient received the goods but opened a case for item not received, which was later closed. elke@ebay clarified that the money was paid out on June 30, but was virtually withheld. isishathor was not aware of this, but ultimately received confirmation of the full payout.
On 26/06, sale, label for large letter created on eBay, on 29/06, item taken to the post office, on 01/07, notification that it was delivered.
From 02/07, I was abroad with very poor internet. There was also no reason for me to log in to eBay.
After returning on 10/07, the following: buyer says that the item was delivered but had not arrived with them???
On 06/07, case opened because item not received. On 08/07, notification that item arrived, case closed and very good feedback.
eBay THEN writes on 10/07 that they are withholding the money and have done so to this day. No info why or when they intend to pay it out.
Oh yes, I have been on eBay for over 25 years, 100% positive feedback, and there has NEVER been any problems on my side.
No way to reach eBay by phone, AI does not “understand” the issue.
Is this the new way of dealing with long-time eBayers?

The problem is that the amount to be paid out doesn’t appear anywhere. So eBay may have somehow released it, but I don’t have access to it.

So Ebay was turbo-fast with the transfer right the very next day,
more precisely, two sales were transferred together.
I let myself be intimidated by the subsequent threat of withholding the money.
Sure, that’s also a bit my fault... but a short explanation by standard email would have spared both of us unnecessary stress.
