my eBay account has been restricted because the VAT ID number is missing. I’ve already applied for the VAT ID, but I haven’t received it yet. I’m wondering what steps I can take in the meantime.
Is there a way to let eBay Support know about the delay and maybe get an extension?
How have other members handled similar situations?
What are the best steps to avoid such problems in the future?

And then I see that you supposedly have a commercial seller account, but no legally required business information at all. Who advised you?
Everything is missing except the legal notice, and if you’re allowed to sell again and have items online, you’re at serious risk of receiving a legal warning!
Normally you get a USt.ID before you even start selling! And I think eBay informed you in advance before the restriction, and that’s when you should have contacted them, not after the horse has bolted. Now it will be too late and you’ll have to wait until the information is complete and you have the USt.ID.
