Yesterday, 07/09/2025, I called customer service by phone twice to ask for help, because since 03/09/25 I have repeatedly been insulted by the seller and confronted with accusations that the seller is making up. As can be seen completely in the messages in the open case. On 29/08/25 I bought speakers and paid for them right away with PayPal. Since nothing was happening in the purchase process (it says there: shipping within 2 days after payment is received), I wrote the seller a friendly message on 01/09 asking whether I could please have the tracking number. Nothing happened, so on 03/09/25 I called customer service and the very nice employee Alex helped me open the case, and the seller then received an official message from ebay.That same day, the seller responded unfriendly, saying I was trying to “force an exchange.” That was never the point and makes no sense to me in the report. There was a tracking number in the message. It was created on 28/08/25 for another buyer, where you could see on DHL when it was created and when it was delivered. As I said, I only bought mine on 29/08. I replied that I do not want to force an exchange, but only want to know where the paid-for item is. And that it is embarrassing to send me the wrong tracking number as well. After that, the seller completely lost it and accused me of racism because I had read the Turkish surname (until then I only knew the username, and even if I had, that makes no difference to me where someone comes from) and allegedly see everyone as criminals!I live in Hamburg, work and live with different people, including Turks, and think that is wonderful. Aside from that...And he also wrote about a funeral in Turkey and that such a thing was probably of no concern to me anyway. No, it isn’t. I just didn’t know. Whether that’s true, I don’t know. I struggle with the seller’s tone and communication. Then I received the correct tracking number as an update to the purchase process. It was sent out quickly, and the item arrived in perfect condition. I only wanted the tracking number after a few days. ONLY the way communication was handled, especially the messages in the open case, did I want to report. Yesterday, 07/09/25, I first had a very young man on the phone, who sounded like a child and could hardly understand me linguistically at all. For the data check, he stated my name incorrectly, which I also answered with no instead of yes. He seemed very nervous and overwhelmed, breathing heavily. When I calmly wanted to help him, the line dropped. He must have hung up. Too bad. I was called shortly after on my mobile number, which I could not answer because I was on the landline again talking to ebay. My next call was again answered by a very young person, also sounding like a child, a young woman. Language barrier a bit better. But unfriendly, and she did not understand my issue at all. She wanted to know in the opened case whether my speakers had now arrived. Over and over again!I answered yes every time. But that I was calling to report the seller’s messages, she ignored and asked again whether the speakers had now arrived.I answered yes again and she snapped through the phone: “Well then just close the case!” I told her again that I want to report the seller’s rude messages and that I would not close the case until they are no longer visible. Annoyed, she then helped me with how and where I could report it and started doing it herself. I could tell that she was already starting to select the wrong option.After that I did it myself. At least now I knew where, since the messages in the open case are missing the 3 little dots for reporting. Now I have received a reply from customer service:“We have reviewed your report and found that the content does not violate our principles. This decision was made by a member of our customer service team.” I have now filed a complaint that I am supposed to let all of this be attributed to the seller?Also his last message, asking when I would finally close the case, which according to him was not a case at all.Apart from that, the item arrived much later (01/9-04/09.) than it should have, which I would not have reported if he had simply sent me the tracking number. I have been with ebay for 19 years now. I sold nonstop for years and still buy on this platform to this day. I constantly tell others, don’t go to **bleep**, go to ebay. What happened to customer service? Especially on the phone? At first I thought I had landed somewhere else...My big thanks go to Alex (03/09.), who was really helpful and friendly, as I know it. Please improve your German and your training, you’re doing the young people no favors! I myself have dealt with customers on the phone every day for years. I still have not received any message from my second mentioned call with the unfriendly young woman about where I can rate her.
