unintended shipping discount
I have one or more fairly large items that I want to sell. In one listing I have 6 available. Shipping costs with DHL are 10.49 - if a customer buys 2 items, eBay automatically charges 18.18 euros shipping. I can't ship the two items together. They're too big - I don't even have a box that large. I have to charge 20.98 euros - that's what I pay DHL as well how can I change that?

Mentor1 month agoNothing can be changed after the fact! That’s on your dime because you entered it exactly like that.

OP1 month ago · EditedFirst of all, thanks for your feedback, but that doesn’t help me.....for this case now I can sort that out with the buyer. But I still have several items online and want this not to happen again. I wouldn’t know where I would have entered a shipping discount, and consequently I also wouldn’t know where I can remove it again. That wasn’t intended like that; I don’t want to mislead customers.

Mentor1 month agoIf it's about the bubble wrap, you've stated shipping at €10.49 and every additional item at €7.69.
Then you just need to change your shipping details.
And even if you can agree with the buyer, they can't pay more than what's shown on eBay, and "additional payments" can't be made through eBay. And the messaging system won't let through any messages that are meant to send data.

OP1 month ago · EditedThanks again for your feedback. I would change it if I knew where. Otherwise I wouldn’t be asking. Where does this come from, the 7.69 euros for each additional item? I can’t find anywhere I can change that... otherwise I would have done it long ago. I’ve asked AI now - apparently I have no influence over it, because there’s nothing entered anywhere in the rules for combined shipping or for the special price. I’m making it into separate individual items now

Mentor1 month agoYour current offers all have shipping costs set to 0.00. There is no surcharge there when the customer orders 2 rolls.
If you want to charge shipping costs, you could solve this via conditions as follows:
In this example, the buyer would pay € 6.99 shipping costs for each additional identical item.

Mentor1 month agoIf you can’t change that for the shipping costs, you probably have business policies active that prevent it.
https://www.ebay.de/help/selling/business-policies/rahmenbedingungen?id=4212&st=3&pos=1&query=Rahmenbedingungen&intent=Rahmen&lucenceai=lucenceai&docId=HELP1240
And if you list the same item multiple times, it can happen that only 1 item is online and the rest aren’t shown until one is sold again. Then try to make at least the titles different, maybe that will work.

OP1 month agoOk thanks a lot - I’ve just simply increased the price by the shipping costs and will do free shipping then it’ll be correct again.
