Incomplete item description
Summary: detkr_59 reported a problem with a Nokia 2720 Flip that was falsely advertised as a 4G model, but is actually a 2G model and does not offer a hotspot. The seller did not respond to return requests, and there were no clear indications of the 2G specification. perfect-sally criticized that a new thread had been opened and recommended waiting out the settlement phase before involving eBay. There is tension between detkr_59 and perfect-sally, who accused detkr_59 of acting too hastily and portraying the seller in a bad light. In the end, it was noted that a refund might be possible since the correct reason for return had been chosen.
This was the seller's description: "Nokia 2720 Flip - 4GB - flip phone (unlocked) - Black/White/Red". When I asked whether the device has a hotspot, I was told that they didn't know and that I should google it. Which I did. According to Google, it is supposed to be a Nokia 2720 flip 4G and, of course, it has a personal hotspot.
Then I got the devices and surprise, it turned out to be Nokia 2720 flip 2G, which of course has no hotspot.
The dealer did not point out that it is a 2G phone and not a 4G phone. And he doesn't want to take it back.
Neither Ebay nor the seller has responded to my return request from last Saturday, 25.07.26, so far.
By the way, the Nokia 2720 flip 2G and 4G look identical from the outside.
What am I supposed to do, I don't want the devices because I wanted a Nohia 2720 flip 4G. Other dealers on Ebay clearly state which Nokia 2720 flip they are selling. Why can't this dealer do that. Or what am I supposed to think about that?
Who can help me get the seller to take the devices back?
Thank you very much

OP2 weeks agoGreat tips you can’t give me in my time of need, but criticize me when I do something wrong in your opinion, that seems to work excellently. Thanks for your effort

have a look here.

Mentor2 weeks agoYou don't need to get snippy here now! If you can't handle criticism or the truth, then you should look for help somewhere else!
You ask what you want to know BEFORE a purchase, and if the seller can't or won't answer, then you simply don't buy!
And if someone lets themselves be "blinded," then that's on them, and you don't go looking for someone else to blame.
And apparently more and more keeps coming to mind for you to make the seller look bad!

OP2 weeks agoSorry, but I'm desperate and looking for real advice and help. I'm trying to go over everything again so I make sure I think of everything and don't forget anything.

Mentor2 weeks agoIn the other thread it was written that you first have to wait for the agreement phase and only then can you involve eBay.
As it looks now, you'll get your money back and the seller is responsible for the return shipping because you apparently chose the correct reason for the return (complaint).

Mentor2 weeks agoI see no reason why the seller should take the item back and refund it - he didn't write anything about 4G

Mentor2 weeks agoI see it that way too. I hope we get to find out how it turned out here.
