You wouldn’t think there are actually sellers like that. Really, good and secure packaging is a given and for most sellers it’s part of their responsibility toward the item and the customer. We want the items to arrive with the customer just as they were sent. Anything else just causes problems. I’ve had messages like that once or twice too, but they never bothered me. The only thing I can say in response is that all my items are packaged as well as possible so they arrive safely too - and I’ve shipped to almost all parts of the world without any damage to the item.

Mentor1 month agoWas your request really polite, @scelsi88 ?
According to the review comment, it wasn't.
And I myself don't like it either when a customer tries to tell me how I have to package things.
Anyway, you can demand the item through civil law, good luck.

OP1 month agosince I have often had damaged goods (records),
I should be allowed to point this out. there's nothing rude about that.
what I do find rude, though, is when the purchase is simply canceled
without any prior communication.

OP1 month ago...... furthermore, I didn’t prescribe anything, I merely
asked for a lot of care.

Mentor1 month agoThe seller is an experienced seller, he will know how to ship records.

OP1 month agoI'll gladly pass on such smug comments.

Mentor1 month agoNope, that's not pretentious, @scelsi88

Mentor1 month agoHi @scelsi88
a seller can only cancel a sale for these reasons:
Item no longer in stock or damaged
Buyer requested cancellation
Problem with the buyer's delivery address
Which reason was selected for your order?
Best regards from the Baltic Sea

OP1 month agohello peter -
thanks for your feedback.
I had merely emphasized how important good packaging is to me,
the sale was then canceled.
greetings from Lake Constance

OP1 month ago........ where can I see the reason for the cancellation?
but it can only be a staged damage report or inability to find
the item, which is out of the question because of the communication
since, as I said, he didn't like my question or request.

Mentor1 month agoHey @scelsi88
in the purchase details you can also check out the info on cancellation:

OP1 month agothanks, as I said, it can only be a pretext
that led to the cancellation.

OP1 month agothanks.
I only pointed out that the standard packaging for
vinyl records is rubbish. I certainly did not mean to imply that
this seller's packaging is bad. Then I also mentioned
that over the course of many eBay years I actually received around 100 !!! packages
that were damaged, and with them the goods themselves again and again.
Accusing me of being rude because of that is ridiculous.
Can I now sue for the item via eBay?
regards

Mentor1 month agoYou can't file a claim through eBay at all; you have to arrange that outside of it. eBay doesn't help.

OP1 month agowell, here is a violation of ebay rules
here .......
